As a busy college student myself, I created the Student Notice app to make managing coursework and deadlines less stressful.
Trying to juggle classes, assignments, and a crazy schedule is what inspired me to design Student Notice. Student Notice is a reminder app used to help college students manage their academic workload and personal schedules more effectively while reducing the anxiety that comes with meeting deadlines.
From interviewing college students, I learned that manually entering assignments into reminder apps was a major hassle. So, I included automatic coursework syncing using college email calendar integration. That way, everything updates itself, and students can focus on what really matters.
Research from The Institute of Education Sciences also shows that reminder apps “led to more completed assignments, lower anxiety about forgetting homework assignments, and greater overall learning satisfaction with the course.”
The app features a vibrant, gender-neutral color palette to keep users motivated and alerted to deadlines. I chose Roboto for clean, easy-to-read typography familiar to many digital users. Additionally, I designed the app’s illustrations myself to bring a personal, cohesive touch to the experience.
