Miles of Meaning
Let's give these miles some meaning!

brand
identity
The Miles of Meaning project involved creating a visual identity for a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children with scoliosis.
Miles of Meaning is a Georgia-based nonprofit organization, sponsored by Higgy Bears, that raises money and awareness for children with scoliosis through running events. The client wanted the brand to feel vibrant and energetic, a place that brings happiness and light to a meaningful cause.
I began my research by looking at both sports branding and children’s brands, searching for a way to blend movement, vibrancy, and love into one visual system. The running track quickly became my key inspiration, not just for its smooth curves, but for how it represents forward motion and perseverance. Since the organization was founded by two females with a shared mission, I integrated their story into the design with an abstract, geometric symbol of two runners, their arms joined in care and unity.
For the visual system, I designed a custom logotype that mirrors the curves of track lanes and nature trails, the main environments where these events take place. I created a color palette that brings a childlike, playful touch with vivid colors.
Overall, the final visual identity reflects the nonprofit’s energy, compassion, and purpose while honoring their mission to make every mile count.
